Reilly’s Bar is located in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre and while yes, we are a small bar in a big city – we see it as a good thing. As the old Irish saying goes “May your home always be too small to hold all your friends.”
Reilly’s Bar itself was established in 1979 and has kept a firm grip on its original character. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. Originally used as a pharmacy, the building was converted into a bar over 30 years ago. All the original wooden walls are still intact and visible which creates a real sense of an old-fashioned Irish bar.
Reilly’s Bar, much like our name, is a traditional Irish Bar in every sense of the word. Attracting celebrities such as 007 actor Timothy Dalton to celebrity chefs the Hairy Bikers. We celebrate the Irish culture weekly with live Irish trad music being played every Thursday – Sunday. Our resident trad performer Paul (The Old Codger) has been playing in Reilly’s for 25 years, he plays a variety of trad ballads as well as the classic Irish sing along tunes to get the crowd going.
We also cater to all sports fans as we show all rugby, football, GAA, Racing and other sports on our flat screen TVs, giving men everywhere somewhere to watch the match in peace.
